This design features the Progress Pride Flag, which was developed by nonbinary American artist and designer Daniel Quasar in 2018. Based on the iconic rainbow flag design first created in 1978, the Progress Pride Flag redesign celebrates the diversity of the LGBTQIA community and calls for a more inclusive society. The updated flag includes black and brown stripes to represent marginalized LGBTQIA communities of color, along with the colors pink, light blue, and white, which are used on the Transgender Pride Flag.
